Georgia FirstGen, a nonprofit organization that provides support and resources to first-generation college students, today announced two new immersion programs: the Financial Literacy Program and the Medical Literacy Program.
The Financial Literacy Program is designed to help students develop financial literacy and leadership skills. The program will provide students with the opportunity to participate in a hands-on workshop focused on making informed decisions about personal finances. Students will also learn how to build confidence, develop leadership skills, and identify and overcome personal barriers to success.
The Medical Literacy Program is designed to help students enhance their medical literacy skills. The program will provide students with the opportunity to write articles on medical topics, which will then be carefully reviewed and published by medical professionals. Students will also learn about the research process, citation styles, and reliable sources of information.
“These programs will provide students with valuable skills and experiences that will help them succeed in college and beyond.”
The exact time and location of the programs will be announced closer to the date.
